Welcome to the home of my fiction.

Stories shape us. They warn, inspire, and unravel the unseen threads of our world. Here, you’ll find fiction that lingers - tales of paradoxes, distant worlds, and the paths between light and dark.

Step inside. Tread carefully. Beware what follows lightning.

Welcome to the website of Jacob Ethan Gibson, author of the middle-grade speculative fiction series, Mariana the Moon Girl. In addition, he is also known for the highly anticipated serialized sci-fi Anthology, The Trappist Endeavor, and the young-adult sci-fi series, The Brother Paradox. Check out the Netflix movie, All This F***ing Doubt which was made by B35 Studios and written by Jacob Ethan Gibson and directed by Kris Blake. Unfortunately, it's only available for streaming in an alternate dimension.

Jacob is currently serving a five year prison sentence in the astral plane for an undisclosed cosmic felony. In an unrelated note, the author wanted everyone to know that they should never do drugs with an alien, no matter how pretty she is. Sure, you may become one with the universe, but it will be her universe.

Upcoming Projects

The Trappist Endeavor:

A Sci-Fi Anthology of Humanity’s First Interstellar Colonies

For the first time in history, humanity is leaving the solar system. The Trappist Endeavor is a hard science fiction anthology chronicling the journeys of four groups of colonists, each venturing to a different exoplanet in the Trappist-1 system—a red dwarf star in the constellation Aquarius, 41 light-years from Earth.

Of its seven orbiting planets, only four exist within the habitable zone: Trappist-1d, 1e, 1f, and 1g. Each colony faces unique challenges, dangers, and existential dilemmas as they attempt to establish humanity’s first permanent settlements beyond our solar system.

This anthology will be released episodically, beginning with Cohesion, followed by Asclepius IV.

Perfect for fans of The Expanse, The Three-Body Problem, and speculative space exploration fiction striving for the literary depth of classic sci-fi masters like Ray Bradbury, Isaac Asimov, and Arthur C. Clarke.

The Brother Paradox:

A Rowdy, Time-Bending YA Sci-Fi Adventure

Welcome to Las Vegas, 2004, where high school is already a disaster—and that’s before a group of teenagers invent time travel.

The Brother Paradox is a chaotic, hilarious, and mind-bending young adult sci-fi trilogy about friendship, puberty, and the unintended consequences of messing with the space-time continuum. Think Back to the Future meets Superbad—but with way more existential dread.

Yes, the main character has my name. No, this is not some weird autobiographical attempt at processing my teenage trauma. The real reason? The ease of peaking through astral barriers through the eyes of your echoes in the universe, but I digress.

Book One: Thesis arrives (aspirationally) in 2025.

Like my other works, this trilogy will be released in an episodic, serial format. And no, seriously, stop asking—this isn’t secretly my life story with a Bill & Ted-style twist. Definitely not.

Perfect for fans of sci-fi comedies, multiverse theory, and time travel disasters.

Mariana the Moon Girl

A Middle-Grade Fantasy Adventure Filled with History, Mystery, and Legendary Heroes

Book One - Author Signed Copy
$14.99

There are only three rules in the Museum of Human History:
1. Never tell anyone about the museum, or any of its secrets.
2. Follow Mr. Steel’s instructions with exactness.
3. Never lie to Mr. Steel.

In all the time that eleven-year-old Mariana has lived in the museum and hunted for the superpowered artifacts of ancient American Legends, she has strictly followed all of the rules. She knows that if she doesn’t, Mr. Steel, the mysterious museum curator, will banish her.

But the day that she stumbles upon a family being attacked by a giant tarantula in the desert ruins of Philadelphia—the same day she finds the ancient bifocals of Benjamin Franklin and becomes best friends with his ghost in the process—she breaks every single rule.

The consequences? Miss Murphy, Mr. Steel’s oldest enemy, who is hell-bent on destroying the museum, discovers their whereabouts. Their only escape? Finding the boots of Butch Cassidy, which grant their bearer the power of the perfect getaway.

Together, Mariana, Mr. Steel, and Benjamin Franklin must walk the path of Butch Cassidy’s final days and discover the Legendary outlaw’s secret fate. But as the threat of Miss Murphy approaches, will Mariana risk her friends’ lives in order to keep her lie a secret?

It’s been a year since Mariana found the boots of Butch Cassidy.
A year since Miss Murphy threatened to destroy the Museum of Human History.
A year since Mr. Steel forced them all into hiding—and Mariana is bored.

But when Mr. Steel finally allows Mariana and the ghost of Benjamin Franklin out of the museum to hunt for another powerful artifact, things couldn’t go more wrong. The artifact’s Legend proves hostile, and in the chaos, Mariana is kidnapped by Miss Murphy!

Stuck in enemy territory—even with surprisingly pleasant captors—Mariana decides not to wait around for whatever Miss Murphy wants with her. Driven by a need for escape, Mariana intercepts a mysterious distress call—but is this broadcast truly from a woman who needs her help, or is it a trap set by one of Mr. Steel’s enemies?

In this sequel to The Secret Fate of Butch Cassidy, Mariana, together with her best friend, Benjamin Franklin, must walk a treacherous path that will not only put her at risk of death but will reveal truths about her past she’s not sure she wants to know. Truths that, once revealed, may tie her fate forever to the mystery of Mr. Steel and Miss Murphy, and even the future of humanity itself.

Book Two - Author Signed Copy

Portal to the Astral Plane

You may have heard that somewhere on this site, there exists a portal to the Astral Plane. Indeed, there is. But what's remarkable isn't that such a portal exists on a website, but that this portal allows one to perform an Astral ritual that is reminiscent of personality quizzes of the early internet, which are, in fact, actually themselves reflections of many spiritual initiations in countless cultures across history. This ritual is an opportunity to learn more about your interiority and the energies that drive you.

As with all things Astral in nature, use caution if you proceed.
